ART WHERE UNEXPECTEDJune 30 - July 7, 2020
Pointe-Noire - Congo
Whilst the coronavirus pandemic has plagued our world, forcing almost the entire world to enter lockdown and people to stay home, the arty creative response to the crisis has been unexpected from several perspectives.
Many artists living in self-isolation or under strict lockdown measures turned inwards for inspiration and numerous hitherto unexplored paths, largely due to the inescapable state of introspection and the absence of physical human connection.
Amal Rakibi Gallery has chosen to take art out of the walls and exhibit it in the streets or on the beaches of Pointe-Noire in Congo-Brazaville to offer the inhabitants of the city an exhibition of raw art out of the box, where he was most unexpected.
